Rajasthan Royals has got four wins from 10 games and SRH has got three wins from 9 matches. So literally both the teams are in the same scenario and a win from here will take the teams an inch closer to the semi-finals. Both the teams are paying praise to not finding their ideal XI, middle-order collapses and inconsistency. Today both the teams are facing against each other both the teams will be looking to back to winning habit. Sun risers Hyderabad are back from the super over heartbreak in their last game against KKR and Rajasthan royals on another hand has suffered a defeat against RCB thanks to tremendous batting display by AB Devilliers. SRH might face yet another setback as their key batsmen Kane Williamson injured his adductor muscle during their last encounter against KKR. So it is not clear whether he is ready or still needs rest. But he batted at top order to exploit the fielding restrictions in the powerplay. So he might continue to do the same today as well. Lack of proper and experienced death over specialist is hurting the team badly. Also given the template of having a metal pace bowlers troubling batsmen, SRH is not having that kind of variety and team badly missing the services of their premium bowler Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. Inconsistency in the lower middle order and lack of experience is also a worrying sign. Batsmen can play against their premium spinner Rashid khan now it becomes easy to rotate the strike against him.
Rajasthan Royals on the other side is also facing similar issues as they don’t have proper top order batsmen and experiments of playing smith, butler and now stokes are not working on their favour. Robin Uthappa has come well in one game so now the team management might persist with him at top order for another two to three games. Dewatia has won two games for him but lack of consistency at the top order has put too much pressure on him at lower order. If the foundation was laid then he can come and express himself in the middle. Sanju Samson should find some form if he fires there will no stopping for him at Rajasthan Royals. Smith has gambled Jaydev Unadket to bowl AB Devilliers in the last game instead of Jofra Archer. Karthik Tyagi is in fine form with the ball so he is expected to open the bowling along with Jofra Archer. Shreyas Gopal is good IPL Betting Tips at tandem but as mentioned earlier he lacks skills to be the anchor. Overall a wonderful team but lack of consistency and not playing as a unit is the major point of concern for him. Today you might expect Jos butler back at the top order and ben stokes might move to the middle order. Jofra Archer is in fine form but he is not getting ample support from fellow bowlers. Bowling is the weak link for Rajasthan royals.
Expected Playing XI:
1 Ben Stokes, 2 Robin Uthappa, 3 Sanju Samson (wk), 4 Steven Smith (capt), 5 Jos Buttler, 6 Rahul Tewatia, 7 Riyan Parag, 8 Jofra Archer, 9 Shreyas Gopal, 10 Ankit Rajpoot/Jaydev Unadkat, 11 Kartik Tyagi
1 David Warner (capt), 2 Jonny Bairstow (wk), 3 Manish Pandey, 4 Kane Williamson/Mohammad Nabi/Fabian Allen/Jason Holder, 5 Priyam Garg, 6 Vijay Shankar, 7 Abdul Samad, 8 Rashid Khan, 9 Sandeep Sharma, 10 Basil Thampi/Khaleel Ahmed, 11 T Natarajan
What to expect:
Archer is enjoying the better strike rate so royals might be tempted to bat him slightly up in their batting order.
Rashid Khan is enjoying better economy rate so he might be the weapon for warner to spoil Royals’ party in the middle overs.
You can expect Mohammed Nabi in place of Williamson if the batsmen have not recovered from his injury. So it might be an opportunity for an afghan all-rounder to showcase his mantle.
With playoff calculations on the cards, both the teams might want to exploit opponent’s weakness and earn two points which are very crucial to stay in contention for playoffs. So today is going to be an exciting encounter with royals emerge as victorious considering their batting depth.
